How to Sell Your Art on emersonburkhart.com

Do you have fine paintings, pastels or watercolors by Emerson Burkhart?  We would be delighted to help you bring them to the market.  If you do, please contact us by E-mail at services@emersonburkhart.com and include the following:

  • Good quality, high resolution digital photographs of the front and back of the piece as well as a close-up of the artist’s signature 
  • A detailed description of the piece, including artist’s name, title of artwork (if known) dimensions, media used (oil on canvas, watercolor on paper, etc.) any condition issues, your suggested price, provenance and/or exhibition history, and any other supporting documents of potential interest to buyers.  Not sure how to price your art?  No problem. We’ll be glad to give you our opinion regarding the fair market value of your art on request. We will review your submission and inform you by E-mail if we plan to accept the piece for listing on our site.
  • If sold, we will handle fulfillment and shipping to the purchaser.  Payment to consignor of sold works will be made 30 days after the receipt of payment by the Buyer minus a commission of 20%.

If We Agree To List Your Work(s), The Following Terms Will Apply:

Seller will make a payment of $95 prior to the consignment going ‘live’ on the website. The consignment period will be a maximum of six months in length. Payment for the listing (by check or PayPal) will be due at the time we both sign a consignment agreement which spells out the terms and conditions of possession and sale of your works.    

Seller agrees to ship the art to us, insured at replacement value and at sellers’ expense. We will hold the art for the duration of the listing. Your art is insured with us while in our possession.

If unsold, we will return the piece at the end of the consignment period.

Note: If you are located within 100 miles of Columbus, OH, we may be able to assist you with a more cost-effective pick-up option.

The seller will pay us for the shipping and insurance costs for the return of any unsold paintings. Payment must be made (by check or PayPal) before we will return the seller’s art. We will advise the Seller of this cost by E-mail prior to shipment.
